We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Six Flags Six-Hour Reading Club
2012/2013 Program is opening soon!
Homeschoolers can register as individual families.  

Beginning October 9th, you will be able to register online for Read to Succeed here.  Please make sure to put down your address and NOT Everest Academy's address so the tickets will come directly to your home.

This program enables your child, grades K5 - 6th to earn a free Six Flags ticket for completing six hours of recreational reading between January 1 and February 15.  Your child can read books, magazines, comic books, or anything they enjoy to fulfill the six hours of recreational reading.  If your child has not yet begun to read, you can read the six hours to them.  One parent per household is also eligible to receive one free Six Flags ticket. 


Please note:  Tickets are good for the summer season only.  Dates will be clearly printed on the tickets and cannot be changed or extended.
