Redstone Support Group Open to Civilians
We understand that your child's Home School Education is about choice; choice in curriculum, choice in activities, and choice in your student's academic acceleration.... We offer multiple support amenities, such as: A Youth Center with indoor and outdoor basketball courts, soccer and baseball fields, an in-line hockey rink, supervised computer lab, learning labs, stage, music booths, activity rooms, game room, and a large kitchen with a very spacious commons area. A youth sports program with year-round sports such as soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis, in-line hockey, softball, tae kwon do, and many more. A trained and motivated staff that is ready to help you with your student's educational acceleration! Regular classes with supervised instruction that needs and encourages your vibrant participation! Regularly scheduled field trips and educational
opportunities outside of study time. Does your student have these choices at home?
Traditionally, the home school support service was offered to both military and civilian families affiliated with Redstone Arsenal. CYSS has been granted approval by the Garrison Commander to provide this support service to all home schooling families in the Tennessee Valley area, regardless for their affiliation with Redstone Arsenal. There are four areas in which educational support is provided to home schooling families: Physical Education, Arts & Crafts, Computer and Technology, as well as Life Skills. All classes are taught and facilitated by trained CYSS staff. In addition to three outstanding support classes, educational field trips are offerd at little or no cost to you.
The Redstone Arsenal CYSS School Liaison Office will be in constant communication with you, the parent of a home school student, providing information on upcoming programs and services. outstanding support classes, educational field trips are offered at little or no cost to you. Each class is designed to teach and build your student's skills and knowledge, per the discipline of study. Classes begin with a lesson that determines skill, then proceeds to help your student quickly develop that skill to a measurable level.
