Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Bham: Art Classes at Birmingham Museum of Art –
Come to the Museum to join in the fun as we explore the art works and then create our own in the studio. We’ll use lots of cool materials and explore new ways to use ordinary objects to create some amazing art. For more information, please call

Adamsville: Art Classes –Ages 10 and up (including parents). These classes will be offered in her home at 2517 Hillcrest Circle in Adamsville. Lessons are $6 per lesson. Contact information: 791-2953 or cor13v3@charter.net .
Nation Wide: Free Loan of Famous Artist Videos and DVDs - www.nga.gov education resources You only have to pay for return shipping cost.
Moody: Pottery Classes - The cost is $10.00 per 2 week session. The first week, the children make their piece and the second week they paint or glaze it. It is then fired in a kiln.
