My name is Jennifer (Jae). I live in the Shoals area with my husband, Jerry, and our 8 year old daughter, Mamie. We have been with Everest Academy since my daughter started kindergarten in 2008. We feel blessed to be able to homeschool our daughter and expose her to a broad spectrum of activities and opportunities. I try to plan an activity / field trip each week. These are almost always on Fun Fridays. We have park days, crafts days, parties…activities close to home and really inexpensive. We have trips to neighboring cities like Huntsville and Decatur for things like the Space Center, Cook's Museum and ice skating. We even have day long trips to neighboring states for fun visits to places like the Chattanooga Aquarium, Memphis Zoo, and Nashville Science Center.


I feel that our children should have many opportunities for learning in fun and exciting environments. Therefore, we try to offer a wide range of activities each year. If you don't see activities in our area (or beyond!) that interest your family, let me know. I will work with you to get something planned that your child enjoys or help you find activities that would help them love to learn.


We have made some of our best friends through these activities and through the homeschooling community. We look forward to another great year of fun, learning and friendship.
