Hi Everyone, We have two part-time teaching positions available within the education department that we hope to fill immediately, and part-time summer camp teaching positions that we started interviewing for starting as of this week. If you are interested, or you know of anyone who might be interested, please visit http://www.birminghamzoo.com/employment/ for more information on the positions and instructions on how to apply. FYI - The summer camp position descriptions may not be posted on the Zoo's website until next week. Here is just a bit about each position: · The education teacher position will deal mostly with our informal education classes that have our 6 month to 5 years of age group and our homeschoolers that range from 1-9 grade (and 10-12 grade oncewe are back to full staff). · The zooschool position deals strictly with 7th graders in a more traditional classroom setting (although we still utilize what the Zoo has to offer). We are looking for someone who would feel comfortable teaching the science portion of the class. They do not have to have a science background.
