Renee Stokes ~ Shoal Area
I'm Renee. This is our tenth year to homeschool. I've been married to my best friend Tim for
over 24 years. My oldest son is 21 and married.
My daughter Gabby is 17, gorgeous (IMHO), and has Asperger's syndrome.
So, basically she is aged 13-35, depending
on the day of the week and the subject at hand. But she has made tremendous
strides in the last 3 years or so and is “catching” up to her age level.
As if my life wasn't busy enough homeschooling, raising
dairy goats, and being a Mama full-time, not to mention this gig with
fun-planning; I started back to college last year at Heritage Christian. We're
hoping when Gabby and I graduate around the same time we will have some mission
work opportunities to help others (I’m also an LPN). I work with my church’s
prison ministry now. So, now my
daughter-in-law (God bless her) is Gabby’s main teacher.
Anyway, I hope to schedule some laid-back "movies and
pizza days," bowling, and hanging out activities, plus some art museum
trips (Gabby’s favorite) and camping (my favorite.) I hope
we have a fun and blessed year, and I think we will!
