Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Jan. 27 Deadline: Abbott Nutrition Pack a Snack

Champions for Kids is working on a SIMPLE service project known as Abbott Nutrition Pack A Snack.  By providing healthy food options such as Pediasure®, Pediasure Sidekicks®, and ZonePerfect® bars and then donating these items to various organizations that assist children, you can help end child hunger in our area.
 
Tiffany Manley, Everest Academy mom, is working on a large donation to be made to the SafeHouse of Shelby County.  Victims of domestic violence come to the SafeHouse to get back on their feet, and they often have children with them. 
 
If you’d like to donate non-perishable healthy snack options, please contact Tiffany at tiffany.manley@hotmail.com prior to January 27th, so the donation can be made on the 30th.
