Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

My family and I live in the Clay area on a 30-acre farm. For the past three years, I have been helping my twin sister homeschool her three children. We are an unschooling family and enjoy learning through numerous hands-on activities, field trips, workshops, vacations/traveling, internet, gardening, farming, etc.

This is my first year as an activity coordinator; although I have assisted my sister, Briana Moore, with several events over the years. I hope to provide some unique educational opportunities for your children, and I look forward to seeing you and your family at events.

Sherah coordinates the Central Alabama Homeschool TerraCycle program and the Labels for Education collection. She also co-coordinates the iServe Homeschool Service Club.
