Alabama School for the Deaf hosts an annual week-long summer camp for students with hearing loss ages 6-15 residing in Alabama who do not currently attend ASD. The enrichment camp gives students a chance to interact with other children who have hearing loss, enjoy some fun field trips, spend time horseback riding, swimming, skating, learning arts and crafts and more. Assessments in vision, hearing, intellectual and social maturity are available for potential students. Summer Camp begins with a Family Fun Weekend – contact us for more information or view flyer for Summer Enrichment Camp 2012!
There is no charge for the camp for Alabama residents. There is a $10 charge for a summer camp t-shirt and your child will need spending money for field trips; we suggest $40.
If your child has not attended the ASD Summer Camp previously, you will need to send a current audiogram after submitting the enrollment form to Principal’s Office, Alabama School for the Deaf, P. O. Box 698, Talladega, AL 35161 or call (256) 761-3246.
