Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

March - June, Mobile: Volunteer Opportunities

Coastal Alabama Volunteer Update

Dear Volunteer,
The azaleas are in bloom, the weather is warm – Spring is finally here, and with it come a handful of great opportunities to get involved in your community.

If you haven’t signed up for the March 22nd Volunteer Field Observer (VFOB) Training, don’t worry—it’s not too late! Email bolson@mobilebaykeeper.org orvolunteer@joinACF.org to reserve your spot.
Sign up today to help protect our beautiful shorelines and ensure that our waters are swimmable, drinkable and fishable. Volunteers will be trained to recognize, document and report issues along our shorelines and how to ensure that the proper agencies respond to and resolve them.  Whether by kayak or on foot, we urge you to go out and keep an eye on your shoreline. Together we can make a difference.
