We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

May 5, Mobile: Environmental Studies Center Open House

On Saturday, May 5, 2012 the Environmental Studies Center will conduct its annual Spring Open House from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Visitors can tour the Center on their own or join various guided activities scheduled throughout the day. Included will be nature crafts and face painting, wildlife lectures, Starlab shows, aquarium presentations and tours of the Center's instructional trails and live animal exhibits.

A variety of local agencies and organizations will participate in an environmental fair during the event. Highlight of the fair will be participant booths and displays on conservation and environmental stewardship.

The Environmental Studies Center is located at 6101 Girby Road, between Burns Middle School and USA Knollwood Park Hospital. The event is sponsored by Degussa Corporation and Pleasant Valley Opportunity Club.
