HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Sci-Quest, Hands-on Science Center is hosting a free chemistry show for all ages with the American Chemical Society on Tuesday.
Special guest Dr. Al Hazari will be at Sci-Quest to perform his “Magic of Chemistry Show” with demonstrations that will educate and entertain by unraveling the mystery of how everyday substances work.
“It's fun to share and excite people about learning and life," said Hazari. "This brings science home to them. I hope the show makes people, young and old, curious about the world around them and gets them interested in science.”
Hazari is the 2000 winner of the Helen M. Free Award for Public Outreach from the American Chemistry Society (ACS) and author of the book “Misconceptions in Chemistry,” which helps tackle many of the myths surrounding chemistry in our everyday lives.
This event is sponsored by the North Alabama section of the American Chemical Society and is free to the general public. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and will last an hour.
