We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Last Fridays, Locust Fork: Park Days at Locust Fork City Park


A Monthly Park Day for Homeschoolers in the 
Locust Fork/Blount County Area!


When?  We'll meet the last Friday of each month from August to October and from March to May.

Locations?  Locust Fork City Park ~ located at 20 Park Rd, Locust Fork, AL

Details?  We'll start the fun at 11:00am.
Don't forget to bring:

  • a picnic lunch
  • toilet paper & hand sanitizer (in case the restrooms are empty)
  • any curriculum you'd like to give away
  • a towel if your little ones will be playing in the small creek 

All ages & all homeschoolers welcome!

For those interested, there is a Prayer & Accountability for Moms meeting starting at 12:30pm at Locust Fork Park.
This will be a short time of encouragement (small devotional) and accountability (for those who need encouragement to meet their home schooling goals.) We’ll be praying, sharing and encouraging each other. Kids are welcome to play while we meet. This meeting will be especially helpful for moms who don’t have a support group. (Open to all Moms, but we will be praying and reading from the Bible.) ~This is an outreach of Everest Family Ministry.
