Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Anniston and Berman Museums are open regular hours this Fourth of July. Bring the family and enjoy the wonders of nature in Anniston Museum of Natural History’s seven permanent Exhibit Halls. Then travel through time in Berman Museum of World History’s four permanent Exhibit Halls. Receive one free child’s admission with a paid adult admission, today only, at both Museums! (One free child per paid adult; not valid with any other discount or promotion.) While you’re here, don’t miss the opportunity to see a great Live Animal Program in the Anniston Museum Auditorium at 3pm (included in your Anniston Museum admission). Make an entire day of it at the Museums this Fourth of July! Bring your own lunches, drinks and snacks, and a blanket or quilt, and enjoy an old fashioned Fourth of July picnic on the grounds. Lovely gardens and trails surround the Museums, and are open to the public dawn to dusk at no charge. While outside, take a peek at Anniston Museum’s newest addition, located at the back left corner of the building: a rainwater collection and recycling project that funded by Legacy, Inc. It’s just another step in the Museum’s continuing effort to “go green,” protect our valuable resources and educate families and the community on conservation.

*Fourth of July special admission: One free child (age 4-17) admitted per paying adult; Does not combine with other discounts or promotions; children age 3 and under are always free at the Museums.
