Science Investigations at Auburn University
Science Investigations provides a meaningful science lab experience for students in grades
7-10 who are homeschooled. The program, held at Auburn University’s main campus is designed to be
a learning continuum throughout the school year. The program is comprised of a parent meeting and twelve academic sessions designed to build students’ scientific research and laboratory skills through the development of their own ‘science investigations’. Students will present their science investigation project at their regional, International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF‐affiliated fair), in the spring.
Unlike last year's program, this one will be limited to 12
participants in 7th-8th grades and 12 participants in 9th-10th grades. There is
a selective application process which is open to all homeschoolers. The program
is intended for students with a significant interest in science who are
self-motivated learners and who have time outside of the program hours to commit
to the development of their science fair project.
