Come Take a Guided Tour of the Southern Museum of Flight

Time: Tour starts at 10:00am ~ Please arrive by 9:45am

Event Description: Students will tour each wing of our Museum and participate in a hands-on activity, probably making a glider. A “Preflight Briefing” will be conducted on the rules and regs, and route of flight for the tour. “Takeoff” with us in our Early Aviation Hangar and “Land” with today’s current aviation technologies. “Enroute navigation”: Along the way they will see early aviation aircraft, experimental and homebuilt aircraft, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam era aviation dioramas and our showcase exhibit of the Tuskegee Airmen. “Debrief” will close the tour in the Ready Room or one of our debriefing classrooms. Our Educators/Experts will engage your students, encourage participation and inform them of the many ties to aviation that exist right here in Alabama and the South!
Our tour should end about 11:30am, and we will have a picnic lunch afterwards. Please bring a sack lunch, and wear comfortable shoes!
Cost: $7.00/person group rate ~ 3 & under are FREE (10 person minimum requirement)
