And…...CANDY!
For the past three years, 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center has hired the best tracker in the business to hunt down the infamous Skunk Ape rumored to be in our woods. After his narrow escape last year, our hunter is back and more determined than ever to catch the creature once and for all - but he can not do it alone. He needs your help and you can join the hunt by coming out to 5 Rivers for our 4th Annual Trick or Treat at 5 Rivers celebration! This free, family friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 27th from Noon to 4pm with plenty of fun for everyone. Delta Hall will be filled with spooky and ghoulish crafts along with face painting and other surprises. Our critter staff will be slithering and skulking about, waiting to meet everyone. Grab a raffle ticket to put your name in the hat for one of two hand-made, goody filled bags. You can then use this ticket to hop aboard the not-so-haunted swamp buggy ride to see if you can spot the Skunk Ape, or maybe find some other unpleasant critter lurking in the 5 Rivers’ Bowles Woods. Stop by the Cypress Gift Shop Carnival and try your hand at some haunted games, then head over to Bartram Landing for $5 pontoon boat tours of the Mobile Tensaw Delta. Maybe you will spot the Delta’s most notorious inhabitant, the alligator. And of course, no trick or treat party would be complete without candy, candy and MORE candy! You’ll want to make a stop by the “make your own trick or treat bag” station and make a bag for all the goodies you will grab on your way around the park. Don’t forget to sport your Halloween best and join in the costume contest held at 3pm. We always have a SPOOKTACULAR time at our trick or treat celebration, you won’t want to miss out! For more information or for questions, give us a call at 251-625-0814, check us out on Facebook, or visit us online at www.Alabama5Rivers.com. Our dedicated Skunk Ape Hunter describes the damageand destruction a Skunk Ape on the rampage can do.
