Join the Shellebration!
Don’t miss a fabulous day on the delta at the 5th annual Turtle Derby benefiting Covenant Hospice. The Turtle Derby on the Delta is a rubber turtle race and family fun day. Participants will “adopt” a rubber turtle for a suggested donation of $5 each and approximately 1,000 turtles will race to the finish line for a chance to win their adopter a fabulous prize.Don’t miss Dan & Shelby with the 95KSJ Breakfast Club, as they cheer the turtles on! You don’t have to be present to win, but why miss all the fun!
The Turtle Derby will also include exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy while exploring their local delta.The activities will include face-painting, kids' crafts, inflatables and the Gulf Coast Tumblebus. Plus, the Five Rivers Delta Safari pontoon boat, will be giving 30-minute tours of the delta from 9:00 am until the race begins. The cost for the tour is $5 per person. We are also excited to announce the addition of a 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run prior to the Turtle Derby activities!

Coloring Contest:
Children ages 3-12 can also enter the Turtle Coloring Contest. You can pick up the entry form at the Covenant Hospice office located at 3201 Dauphin St., Suite D in Mobile or at the Turtle Derby. Or download the form here.The entries must be turned in at the event by 11:00 am. Entries will be displayed and judged at the Turtle Derby. The winners for each age category will be announced prior to the race. You must be present to win.

The proceeds from the Turtle Derby will benefit the uninsured patients and special programs of Covenant Hospice in Mobile and Washington Counties.
