Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

The Huntsville Ballet Company continues the 2012/2013 season with their 44th annual production of The Nutcracker. This magical holiday classic has been a Huntsville tradition for over four decades. Don’t miss the magic this holiday season as Huntsville Ballet Company, with choreography by Artistic Director Phillip Otto and accompanied by Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, brings this enchanting story to life at the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall. All children performing are registered students of The Huntsville Ballet School.

Dear Families and Students of Everest Homeschool,

On behalf of Community Ballet Association (CBA), I am pleased to invite your homeschooled elementary students to the Huntsville Ballet Company's (HBC) performance of The Nutcracker. We are proud to present this performance in the Concert Hall of the Von Braun Center in conjunction with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, or Friday, December 7th.

We are looking forward to sharing this holiday classic with your students. The admission is a non-refundable fee of $5.00 per seat. Since this is also a county wide field trip option for the third grade students of the public schools, space is limited, reservations are required, and accepted in the order they are received. Please limit reservations to elementary school aged students and necessary chaperones. Admission fees are applicable to the number of seats reserved for your party.

Parking is located across from the VBC. Please enter via the ticket office entrance and proceed to the Concert Hall. There will be a check in table as you enter the theater. If you have not already paid for your reservation you may do so at check in, cash or check only please. Once you have checked in, an usher will direct you to your seats. Seats are filled as patrons arrive. If any patron in your party will require handicap accessible seating, please advise me prior to your arrival. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at cathycurry@juno.com or 256.539.0961.
