In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. Covenant Christian Academy (CCA) Fastpitch Softball
The 2013 SPRING softball season is soon to be upon us and the Covenant Christian Academy softball program is looking for ladies interested in playing competitive fastpitch softball at the Middle School (6-8th grade) and Varsity (9-12th grade) levels. The CCA athletic program has been serving area homeschool and private-school athletes since 1999 for baseball and 2000 for softball.

Who can participate?
To be eligible, a player must be homeschooled (ANY covering, not just CCA) or attend a Christian school without a softball program.

Middle School (6th-8th grade)
The Middle School team participates in the independent Huntsville Middle School Softball League which fields teams with students from the Huntsville City schools. CCA softball has participated in this league for some 10 years. We use the Middle School team to develop players for our Varsity program. All league games are played at the SportsPlex in Huntsville and most practices are also held in Huntsville.

Varsity (9th-12th grade)
The Varsity team plays other homeschool and private Christian school teams in Alabama, Tennessee and occasionally Georgia. We also play a few public school teams in Tennessee! Most of our travel is within a 2 hour drive. We exchange home and away games so each team usually travels to the others home field. Home games and practices are at city park fields in Huntsville. We will also enter one or two tournaments each season. Most game dates are double-headers and we expect to play roughly 35-40 games (16-18 game dates) this season. Several girls from the Varsity program have gone on to make college teams over the past couple of years.

Season Info
Practices will begin in January. The MS season ends mid to late March while the Varsity season ends in early May.
