Youth Hunt Registration Now Open
Registration is still open for the 12th annual youth dove hunts sponsored by the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF). The remaining hunts are scheduled for October 6 in Barbour, Geneva, Henry, and Monroe counties; and on October 20 in Covington, Dale and Geneva counties. Mobile will hold its youth dove hunts on October 13 and 20. Online registration is encouraged. However, participants without Internet access may register by calling the WFF district office listed on the hunt schedule or the Montgomery headquarters at 334-242-3469. District office personnel will complete the electronic registration form for you over the phone. Click here to register.
WFF is also sponsoring four youth deer hunts on the Fred T. Stimpson Community Hunting Area in Clarke County this fall. The hunting area is located off of Clarke County Road 15 approximately 12 miles south of Jackson, Ala. Online registration for the hunts will begin at 8 a.m. on October 9. Seventy youth hunters will be selected for each of the four deer hunts. Youth must be under 16 years of age on the day of the hunt and must be accompanied by a properly licensed adult 25 years or older, a parent or legal guardian. Click here to register.
