Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

AND.... Your Christmas Spirit
because in addition to our regular fun.....

We are excited to try some new things at our party this year. I really wanted to get our kids involved in the giving aspect of the holiday season.
So...
Please bring a $5 gift card from one of your childs favorite places to shop. If you want / need to only bring one per family please do so, but if you can bring one per child, I think you & your kids will be glad you did. :-)

Also, we are going to collect canned food items, preferably ones that could be used for a "Christmas Dinner" but anything helps. We will be using these cans in a fun away at the party and later will donate them to "Sydney's Safe" foundation. They are a great local organization, and they will be making Christmas dinner for lots of people in need this year. The more cans we collect, the more fun our activity AND the more we help a family in need. Win / Win :-)

Please keep in mind that if it will cause your family any hardship, you are more than welcome to come to the party without bringing anything (though if you aren't bringing a gift for your child to exchange PLEASE let me know so that we can make arrangements to have additional gifts on hand - we do not want any children left out of the exchange).
