Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

**Update!!! March 23, 2013: Huntsville Homeschool Prom

I am a coordinator for the Huntsville Homeschool Prom and would appreciate your help in spreading word about this year’s prom to any interested 9th through 12th grade homeschool students. This is our fourth year to host a prom and we’ve had homeschool students attend from as far away as Mobile, Tennessee, and Georgia. Our 2012 prom sold out!

The prom is on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Huntsville. Tickets are $35/singles, $60/doubles and may be bought in person or online. Seniors and Juniors only may purchase tickets from January 15 through February 15. The theme this year is “Phantom of the Opera… a masquerade ball.”

This is a traditional high school prom with a DJ, professional photographer, special lighting, food and punch ---all in a theme-decorated gym. The prom is well-chaperoned by parents and we have a sign-in/sign-out system for all attendees. Once an attendee leaves the prom, they are not allowed to re-enter. We require contact information for every attendee in case we need to call a parent.

There is a detailed Frequently Asked Questions link at our website: www.huntsvilleprom.info and our Facebook page is: Huntsville Homeschool Prom. Any questions may be addressed to:  hsvprominfo@gmail.com .

Thank you for sharing this information with your families and please don’t hesitate to contact me personally if I can answer any questions for you.

**Ticket Sale Update --
Tickets for the Huntsville Homeschool Prom are selling very quickly. Only 54 tickets are left
and our sale ends in 12 days on March 8th. It seems very likely that we will sell out of tickets before March 8th.

With so few tickets left be sure to have your guest's information handy. Even if you pay for the tickets, we don't consider them "sold" until we have registration information for each attending student.

To register for the prom we will need the following for each student:
Name
Address
Email
Phone
Emergency Contact Name and Phone
School Name
Grade
Month/year of birthday
The name of whom he/she will ride home with
T-shirt size (if purchasing a t-shirt)
