It is time to start thinking about sending your students to TeenPact next spring. Registration is open now.
"TeenPact’s mission is to train youth to understand the political process, value their liberty, defend the Christian faith, and engage in the culture at a time in their lives when, typically, they do not care about such things."
TeenPact Alabama will be held March 4-7, 2013 in Montgomery. This is for students ages 13-18 and is HIGHLY recommended.
Students spend all day Monday through Thursday at the capital in classes, prayer walks, workshops, and more. The students stay the night at a local camp and parents will drive them to and from the capital each day.
This event/camp costs about the same as a week at a summer camp and is well worth the price.
Julie Glover went last year and is going as an "alumni" this year and she would love to have some of her CHEC friends go with her. If you or your students have questions for her, you can email her at juliaauburn@gmail.com.
For more details and registration information see their website: www.teenpact.com.
P.S. There is also a one-day government workshop for children ages 8-12. Info is on the website. This is also a great time investment.
