Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park is having a field trip day for homeschoolers Wednesday April 24. The day includes the Iron and Steel Museum of Alabama and tours of the three 150+ year old furnaces plus a scratch mould workshop that the students make and watch poured in iron. A train ride across the park and a visit to the sweet shop for homemade candies.
