Wednesday, Feb 20th
Join UAB professors and students in a variety of engineering activities and demonstrations . Learn why they became engineers, opportunities available to future engineers or just come and see what types of engineering marvels are going on in the heart Birmingham. From concrete canoes to joint implants to 3D modeling, engineers do it all!
Just a reminder that McWane Science Center will be celebrating National Engineers Week from Feb 16th-Feb 23rd!
On Wednesday, February 20th from 9-1 several local engineering groups (from UAB and local business) will be on hand demonstrating the work they do in our community, from 3D modeling, bridge building, paper making and city design . Activities and information will be available for all age groups. We do not have a large attendance from school groups that day so this will be a perfect opportunity to introduce or further engage your students in the possibilities engineering offers.
All of the activities and information are FREE with your admission to the center. If you are bringing a group of 15 or more call our reservations department at 714-8414 to find out about group discounts.
Look for me there, I want to get your feedback and ideas on how to continue to serve you and your students through special days such as this.
