Details: This is a chance for students 6th grade & up and their parents to review & discuss information about homeschooling a high schooler. We will discuss graduation requirements, how to award credits & grades, ACT/SAT/PSAT testing, high school curriculum, college planning, etc. Bring questions and any high school materials that you may want to sell or give away.
Please read over this handbook & bring your laptap (free WiFi) or a paper copy: Everest Academy High School Handbook
This group will be conducted in an open "support group" forum. Nancy Melkerson will lead the group, but parents will be expected to participate and help out when appropriate. Teens will sit in and participate when appropriate and be free to socialize when it is not. Younger siblings are welcome to attend but may be asked to leave the room if disruptive. Open to all homeschoolers regardless of cover school.
Families who attend will get a FREE subscription to University Ready.
*Please note that all information given will be Everest Academy specific. Any high schoolers participating who are enrolled in a different church school will want to check with their administrator for information specific to their church school.
