Everest Academy is sponsored by Everest Family Ministry in the Birmingham Metro Area. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

UPDATED! Feb 8, Trussville: Annual Valentines Skate Party + Val card collection for senior citizens!

It's time for our Annual Valentines Skate Party!

Date:  Friday, February 8
Time:  1:00-4:00pm*
Location: Trussville PlayStation
The PlayStation has graciously extended our regular 2nd Friday skate session an extra hour at no additional charge.
*Important: In the past, parent volunteers have worked crazily to collect, sort, & fill about 150 Valentines bags in just 3 hours. Please do not expect your child's Val. bag to be ready before 3:45pm.

Details:   This event is sponsored by Everest Academy & Trussville PlayStation and is open to all homeschoolers. We ask that each family please bring a dish/treat to share at the potluck goodies table, and drinks for your own family.

Each child participating in the Valentines exchange (which is optional) should bring 20 Valentines in a quart size ziplock bag* and a bag of candy or Valentines goodies for at least 20 children. You will not need to bring a collection container as we will provide Valentines bags for your child(ren)'s treats when you check-in at the Valentine exchange table.
*It is very important to use a quart size zip-bag because we will be filling these bags with the candy/goodies for your child(ren)'s Valentines bag.

Special Note: The iServe Homeschool Service Club will be collecting Valentines to deliver to senior citizens at a local retirement home(s) on Valentines Day. If you would like to bring extra Valentines that you have made at home &/or any hard Valentine candy (i.e., heart shaped lollipops), please leave them in the collection box at the Valentine exchange table. Thanks!

Cost:  $3.00/skater, includes regular skates ~ additional for speed skates ($2) & inlines ($3)
Non-skaters do not pay. No charge for under 3yo.
