We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off cover school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

It’s science, but please don’t tell the kids! This summer Fresh Air Family is offering its award-winning Gross Out Day Camp in an Everest Academy exclusive session at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Open to all ages. 

June 24-28

Join expert naturalists as we explore the best of the worst earth has to offer. All in a safe atmosphere, we will explore reptiles, bugs, stinky plants and more! Kids spend the day learning about the icky, sticky world of field biology with Fresh Air Family teachers and college professors. Also arts and crafts, journaling and live animal presentations.

The sessions are from 9AM to 5PM. It costs $175 per week, $150 for Everest Academy Students and $25 for before and after care from 8AM and 6PM.
