Hi there! Our family just moved to Huntsville from the mountains east of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before New Mexico, we lived in northern California, so arid New Mexico really dried us out. I think we've now been here long enough to be considered officially rehydrated. ;-) We have four children, ages 1, 5, 7 and 12. Not sure exactly what life will be for us here in the Huntsville area, whether we'll end up out in the country or stay here in town. Part of me really wants to get back to the country where we could have chickens and a small milking cow. The other part of me is really enjoying the convenience of the city and my husband not having an hour commute each way for work.
We've been homeschooling since about 2004. I am thankful that my husband's career makes it possible for us to homeschool our children. We have enjoyed the freedom that homeschooling allows us for on site learning, for hands-on adventure. We love to experience new things and meet new people. Our favorite things include the ocean, mountain forests and mountain lakes. My heart wanders around the Sierra Mountains in northern California, spending time at both Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe. We're looking forward to lots of fun experiences here in Alabama! We'll be planning activities in the greater Huntsville area, not just in Huntsville proper, so feel free to join us if we come within range of you.
Looking forward to meeting you!
