Pensacola State College Planetarium and Space Theatre
We will be seeing The Little Star that Could. This movie is a full color 3-D animation about Little Star, an average yellow star in search of planets of his own to protect and warm. Along the way, he meets other stars, learns what makes each special, and discovers that stars combine to form star clusters and galaxies. Eventually, Little Star finds his planets. Each planet is introduced with basic information about our Solar System.
After the movie we will have a night sky viewing on projector all around us, just as it is in real time. They will identify constellations and planets.
We need at least 15 to attend (including parents) to have a showing, with a MAX of 99 people. Wheelchair accessible. ALL ages are welcome, but this is geared toward K-6th. Download and go over the age appropriate guide below for your children.
