Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Homeschool Days Kick-Off at the High!
Help us kick off homeschool days with
Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas

Join us to celebrate the beginning of our homeschool days for the 2014–2015 school year and learn about innovation and creative problem-solving! After checking out the concept cars and conceptual drawings featured in this exhibition, students will have the opportunity to create their own innovative design piece to take home.

10 a.m.–5 p.m. Go on a Museum scavenger hunt to explore Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas, and then visit the other special exhibitions, the permanent collection, and the Greene Family Learning Gallery.

1 p.m. Take a docent-led HIGHlights tour of the permanent collection and engage directly with works of art in the galleries.

1–4 p.m. Create your own artwork inspired by Dream Cars in the drop-in hands-on workshop and read children’s books that connect to the topic of the day.
