Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Introduction to Human Anatomy & Physiology Homeschool Class

Grades 7-12

Class will meet at Hanceville Recreation & Wellness Center (tentatively)

Thursday evenings 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Class begins Thursday September 18th and ends Thursday December 11th

Total of 12 class sessions for 1/2 credit in science

Cost is $40 per student or $75 per family. Includes materials, final exam, and Document of 1/2 credit award.

Payment for the class should be made on-site on the evening of the first class. If you register and decide not to participate, please let the instructor know before the first class. Class is limited to 24 students.

Instructor is Greg Allred. Greg is married to Susan Allred, they have 6 homeschooled children and were Way Home Christian School coordinators for many years. Greg is a registered respiratory therapist for 31 years and homeschooling parent for 24 years. Formerly on the faculty at University of Alabama at Bham and Wallace State Community College. Greg served on editorial review staff at Delmar Publishers, as well as served on or currently serves on Advisory Board for UAB, Wallace State,
and Virginia College.
