Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Oct. 13, Wiregrass: Paradise Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

We had so much fun last year, we are going again!!  

What: Homeschool Day at Paradise Pumpkin Patch.  This day is catered to home school kids.  There is so much to do there!  You will NOT be bored and your kids won't want to leave.  Hayride, climb the big hay bails, petting zoo animals, the famous "train ride", the big slide, the corn pit, the corn shooter, the zip line, the games, the corn maze.....and of course a free small pumpkin!   The concessions stand will be available and we will have hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, soft pretzels, popcorn, nachos, cotton candy, snow cones, ice cream, boiled peanuts, various drinks and much more to choose from. We have two picnic areas to enjoy your meal and a gift shop. 

You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks/coolers and picnic.  There is a large covered area with plenty of tables. 

When and What Time:  Monday, October 13th, 8am to 3pm

Who: Any area homeschoolers  All ages. Since numbers are not limited, this is open.

Cost and Misc: $10 per person,(includes all activities plus one small pumpkin each)

Deadline: Friday Oct. 10 (8 a.m.).  They have to know how many are coming to have enough supplies and be prepared.

Take 431 North after crossing into Barbour County go north on 79 South (left) to Bakerhill at 4 way stop continue straight on north 79 South. Go 3 miles and Paradise pumpkin patch will be on the right Approximately 38 minutes from Ross Clark Circle
