Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Dear Student,

HEMSI Explorer Post 254 would like to invite you to come and learn more about exciting career opportunities in EMS and related healthcare fields.  Open to young men and women ages 15-20, Exploring is a hands-on program that will allow you to experience firsthand what EMS professionals do every day in this exciting career field.

You are invited to attend our Open House Meeting at HEMSI Station 2, located at 1057 Oakwood Ave NW, on Tuesday, September 16th at 6:00 p.m. to learn more about what our post has to offer and how you can become a part of this program. Your friends and family are welcome to attend with you.

If you decide to join either on September 16th or the following meeting on Tuesday September 29th, we collect an annual enrollment fee of $25.  As an Explorer, you will learn medical skills as well as important life skills, such as team building, public speaking, time and stress management, and you will have the opportunity to ride with HEMSI crews.

Please let us know if you plan to attend so that we may be better prepared. Reply to us by e-mail at hemsi.exploring@gmail.com. If you would like more information about the program, feel free to ask a guidance counselor, email us, or visit learningforlife.org and click the exploring icon.

We hope to see you there!
