Attention Parents of high school/future high school students:
Several homeschooled students from the Huntsville area are currently enrolled in UA Early college. Due to the growing interest, Dr. Causey, the director, has agreed to travel from Tuscaloosa to give a presentation regarding this fantastic option for high school students and host a luncheon for us. She is a very engaging speaker and we are privileged to have her visit us.
UA Early College is an online dual enrollment program. The courses provide high school as well as college credit. It is available to sophomores, juniors and seniors, so even if you have a 7th or 8th grader, you may want to come and hear about the program so you can make plans for the future.
The program is very highly regarded and an excellent approach to integrating your student into a college atmosphere. It has a built in accountability on behalf of the staff and students through regular interaction via email and personal contact, including the parents. This contact ensures ongoing knowledge of assignments, tests, quizzes, and general expectations throughout each semester.
One of the benefits of the Early College Online is a tuition scholarship available that enables you to get full college credit at approximately half the price. Because of the University's reputation, these credits will transfer to any college that you choose to attend. Please see Dr. Causey's note below.
We look forward to seeing you there on Monday, September 22, at 12noon - 2pm. at Kingdom Life Church
The lunch is provided by UAEC so Please RSVP by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17 to Dr. Causey atearlycollege@ccs.ua.edu for your confirmation, directions, or last minute details.
Our space is limited to 100. After this, we will start a waiting list. Please consider bringing your interested student.
