Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Sept. 26, Ft. Rucker: Army Aviation Museum Field Trip

What and Where:  We are taking a guided tour of the Army Aviation Museum on base at Ft. Rucker.

6000 Novosel St, Fort Rucker, Alabama 36362

As you go through the gate, the guards can direct you in how to get to the museum.  You will see the sign and the helicopter in front of the museum.  If you have any more questions you can find more info:

When: September 26th, 2014  at 11:30am (please arrive early to assemble our group, include time  for any inspections at the gate...so I suggestion you enter the gate between 11 and 11:15)  The tour takes about an hour.

Who:  All ages.  This is open to all area homeschoolers.  There are no set limits on the size of our group, but if we get too large we may want to split into two groups.

What else?
-Please let me know if you are going by Thursday evening September 25 so I can email a final head count.  Thanks!
-This is a free event but donations are encouraged to keep the museum running.
-I post all events on the Wiregrass Homeschoolers Facebook group.
-You can also pack a picnic lunch and go with us to the park...there is one on base at Lake Tholocco or outside of the Ozark gate.  We can decide immediately after the tour.

For more info contact Amanda at mandamama@gmail.com or call 334-464-2162 (please leave a message)

The event is sponsored by Everest Academy but open to all homeschoolers.  Please review the Everest Academy Participation Policy before attending any of our events.
