Alabaster Albert L. Scott Public Library is offering Rape Aggression Defense Classes on Nov. 15th & 16th. The classes will be taught by Alabaster police officers and certified RAD instructors John Kessler and Jamison Lee, who are both also student resource officers in Alabaster schools.
You will learn risk recognition, awareness and reduction strategies as well as different physical defense moves which will allow women to tailor their responses to the situations they might find themselves.
Classes are for ages 13 and older and participants under the age of 18 must have a parental consent form.

10:30am - 4:30pm
November 16th, Sunday
1:00-4:00pm
You must attend both days to complete the course. You may want to brings snacks and plenty of water. You should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Your fitness level is unimportant. Class will take place in the Library Meeting Room.
Prior registration is required and they need at least 20 people to actually have the class. To register, call the library at 664-6822.
