Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Oct. 11 - 19: Barnes & Noble Educator Appreciation Week (Includes Homeschoolers)

This is a Barnes & Noble Advertisement.

Barnes & Noble Educator Appreciation Week starts this Saturday! We'd love for you to pass this on to your homeschool membership or post on your website or Facebook page. --Rebecca

Dear homeschoolers,
Our store celebrates educators with special events and greater discounts during Educator Appreciation Weeks three times a year and our popular Educator Holiday Shopping Event in December. I've attached information about our upcoming Appreciation Reception on October 11 at 10 am. We'll have samples from our cafe, free posters and items from publishers, and you'll be able to "enter to win" in-store prizes. There's even a chance to win a $1000 B&N Shopping Spree.

Educators receive 25% discount on most items from the 11th until the 19th of October!

We'll also have demos of our latest Samsung Nook Device--a special sneak peek just for educators! Come see how our Nook could work in your classroom. Educators who pre-order will receive a special discount if the device is purchased in store between October 22 and October 29.

If you don't have an educator card with Barnes & Noble, we can't wait to issue your card! Bring some type of identification that you're a pre-K through 12th grade homeschooler. This could be a letter of intent to your school district, membership card from a homeschool organization, or lesson plans.
We have many resources in store that homeschoolers purchase--from books to workbooks, from reference materials to educational DVDs. Thank you!
Rebecca
