Hello,
I found your group online and read your background for the group. I think that is a great idea to schedule social outings for the teens. Although our Teen Conference mixes the social and educational, I would like to share some information about our Annual Strong, Smart, and Bold Teen Leadership Conference that is scheduled for this Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 9am-3pm at Samford University for high school girls. The attendees will attend three breakout sessions focused on personal finance, job readiness, and decision making skills. We will provide lunch in the cafeteria on campus and a swag bag. I have attached a flyer to share with the parents in your group. The teens could meet new friends from Jefferson County and surrounding areas.
There will also be a financial literacy workshop in the morning for the parents. BBVA Compass staff members will facilitate this workshop from 9am-12noon.
There is a registration fee of $20 that is returned in the form of a gift card upon successful completion of the conference. If this poses an issue, we can waive the registration fee. Registration is scheduled to close at 11:59pm on Wednesday 1/28/15. Complete info here: http://www.girlsinccentral-al.org/
Feel free to contact me with any questions. I hope some of your high school girls can attend.
Regards,
Quiwintre L. Frye
