**The contest for each child this month will pertain to examples of Physical CHANGES, not Reactions.Physical Change Definition: A physical change is a type of change in which the form of matter is altered but one substance is not transformed into another. (Ex. Freezing liquid/water into ice)
Physical Reaction- A process in which atoms of the same or different elements rearrange themselves to form a NEW substance.(Ex. Photosynthesis)

This month the topic is Health. We will have guests from a local dental office, the health department, an optometrist, and possibly more. They will bring plenty of "goodies" for the kids to take home.Date: February 27th
Our experiments will focus around chemical and physical CHANGES. Mrs. Susan will have some fun & interesting ones, as usual :-) If your child has an example of a chemical or physical CHANGES, they may bring it. Everyone will receive a treat who participates, and The top 3 best examples will receive prizes.
Refreshments will be served. Worksheets will be available. As we do every month, the free book trade& curriculum swap will be stocked and set out for sharing
Thank you,
Mrs. Susan
