Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

April 1, Huntsville: Easter Egg Hunt (DATE CHANGE!!!!!)

April 3, 2015
April 1, 2015
Easter Egg Hunt
McGucken Park in South Huntsville
10:00 a.m.

If you were planning on attending the egg hunt on Friday, we are changing it to 10 a.m. tomorrow, April 1. It is the only break in the weather expected in the next ten days. I apologize for any inconvenience, but Friday's rain is expected to be greatest in the time frame of the egg hunt. Tomorrow is expected to be partly cloudy, but not rainy, with the best of the day taking place during the egg hunt. Same details about the eggs applies to tomorrow. It would be great if you could let me know if you can make it so that we don't start without you. Reach me on Facebook at HSVHomeschool or text me:505-917-5252. Thanks!

Please Bring:
  • One dozen filled plastic eggs per participating child.  If filling them with something edible, please be sure that it is commercially made and individually wrapped. Please avoid chocolate since it is prone to melting while waiting to be found. If the eggs are not staying closed well, please seal them with a small piece of tape.
  • Camping chair - Benches around the playground are limited, so a camping chair could come in handy.
  • Picnic lunch for you own family
Your family is invited to join us on Friday, April 3rd, for an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at McGucken Park in south Huntsville.   The egg hunt will be on the grass area to the east of the playground. My oldest will hide the eggs there at 10 a.m.. Please be on time. Looking forward to having fun with your families!

Of note:  There are restrooms and a water fountain.

For additional information, please contact Kari Mackay at mk530mackay@gmail.com .
