Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

May 8, Springville: Homestead Hollow Field Trip

May 8
Homestead Hollow
10:00 a.m.

Join us Friday May 8th at 10:00 a.m. for a day of fun in the sun at the Homestead Hollow 2015 Spring Craft Festival! For over 30 years this festival has featured fine arts, unique – one of a kind – hand made crafts, and pioneer demonstrations of the old time days. See wood carving, blacksmithing, wood stove cooking, quilting, and whiskey making at the original working still. Tour original cabins as they were built by the early settlers. Relax by one of our many streams and listen to live local entertainment all day. Enjoy our great food that makes your mouth scream for more, or bring a sack lunch and picnic on the grounds.

Homestead Hollow’s General store is open for shopping for those home-made fried pies and other great items all day!

$7 for adults ages 12 and up
$3 for children ages 3 to 11
2 and under are free
parking is free
Groups of 20 or more are $6 each, so a good attendance will make the entry fee cheaper, and it's possible that some parent's can attend free as chaperones, depending on the number of children.

Children’s activities available for an additional fee:
Wagon rides, pony rides, moon walk, petting zoo and bungee jump

Text Jackie Reames at 256-506-9923 to register. We'll meet at the entry gate.
