Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

2015/2016 Auburn University at Mongomery High School Math Club

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at AUM plans to start a math club for high school students this fall. It will be led by the chair of the department, Dr. Enoch Lee, and may feature contributions from other faculty members as well. Students will play games that help sharpen mathematical reasoning, work together on mathematics, and possibly participate in mathematics competitions in the spring. Students who are interested in careers in STEM fields are especially encouraged to check it out, but anyone with an aptitude for math will enjoy it, and all are welcome. The plan is to meet on Saturday afternoons. Snacks will be provided, and everything is completely free. If you’re interested, please contact Matt Jordan, deputy dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, at <mjordan5@aum.edu>.

Thanks again!
