Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Sep. 8, 2015 Huntsville: Dynetics Engineering Explorer Post

Our Engineering Explorer Post with Dynetics is having their kick-off Open House on Tuesday, September 8th, 6 p.m. in Huntsville. Here is their invitation information:

Dynetics’ would like to invite you to participate in Huntsville’s Engineering and Technology Exploring program. You will join other students from the greater Huntsville/Madison County area and both learn about and experience the various engineering disciplines. Exploring is an informative, hands-on opportunity to get an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at what is involved in Engineering and Technology careers. Space exploration, Robotics, Remotely Piloted Vehicles, Computer Assisted Design, Software Design, or Prototyping, you will decide what to explore and experience firsthand what it takes to be a part of this exciting profession.

Please join us for our annual open house event on Tuesday, September 8, at 6:00 p.m. at the Dynetics’ Solutions Complex, (1004 Explorer Boulevard - Research Park), Huntsville, Alabama, 35806. At this meeting, we will answer all your questions about our program’s goals and objectives.  Please bring your parents and interested friends.  Exploring is open to all young people, male and female, between the ages of 15 (14 if you have completed the 8th Grade) and 20. If you decide to join our program, you will fill out an application and pay the $30 registration and activity fee.  Students under 18 will need a parent or guardian’s signature to sign up for the program. 

Please help us plan for this meeting by letting us know that you will attend.  You can call the Post Advisor at (256) 713-5488, or respond by e-mail togary.brown@dynetics.com.  Dynetics’ work for the Federal Government requires identification of all foreign nationals. If you are a foreign national we just need to know; you are equally welcome to participate as anyone else in the community.
