Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Sept. 2, 2015 Pelham: Homeschool Ice Skating Day

Hi ! I am with Hope Christian School in Pelham. I have been working with Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena trying to get a home school day for all of us. 

We are going to have a "trial day" on September 2 from 11-1. The cost will be $10 per skater. It will include two hours of skating, and a Fun Lunch with a hot dog, chips and a drink. If we have a good turn out to this event, they are willing to consider having a home school day throughout the school year. 

I am collecting the money for our group ahead of time, so that they can be sure they have enough food prepared for that day. If any of your group would like to join us they are welcome to do so. They can send the money to me via Paypal (lisabates29@yahoo.com) or mail the check to me at 13110 Marcia Circle Lake View, AL 35111. If paying via Paypal please make sure they select the friends and family payment link. 

I hope we have a really big turn out!!
