Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Oct. 24, 2015, Harpersville: Old Baker Farm Fall Festival Field Trip

Living History and Arts & Crafts Festival!
Saturday, October 24, 9am–5pm
The coordinator will be at the gate at 9 am and have a sign.  Please RSVP to Jackie via text 256-506-9923 so she will know who to look for.

$10 per person (children under 2 free)

Admission includes pumpkin and all events except food, arts and crafts, and horseback rides.

P.S. There is food on site; however, the lines may be long.  You are welcome to bring your own picnic!!!  I want everyone to brings blankets and chairs. Hoping we can eat together for fellowship sake, even if the picnic tables are full!

At Old Baker Farm, we love animals. But due to INSURANCE REGULATIONS, we ask that you please do not bring your pet. Only SERVICE DOGS are allowed with a Permit.


Get ready for a fun, filled day! There is so much to see and do on the farm, you will not want to miss one thing!

Along with all the activities, there are some of the best arts and crafts vendors from all over the south to visit! There is something of interest to everyone!

Be sure to see the Civil War Reenactment!

All kids love the Cotton Bounce, Cotton Patch, Corn Maze, Hay Maze, and Hay Mountain!

You'll enjoy the Indian Festival Dance and Live Music including Blue Grass and Gospel.

Hungry? Don't worry! There is always lots of Great Food, including BBQ cooked on site!

And of course, you'll not want to miss Horse Rides, Mule Driven Wagon Rides, Hay Rides, and a trip to the Pumpkin Patch for that special pumpkin!

Civil War Reenactment

Featuring a Replica of an Old Fort!

Guests will be able to tour an old fort which is a replica of a nearby Civil War fort located at Wilsonville. You can talk with the soldiers and learn what life was really like inside the fort!

This event is open to the pubic; however, we have organized a time for homeschoolers to meet as a group.  This event is sponsored by Everest Academy but open to all homeschoolers.  Please review the Everest Academy Participation Policy before attending any of our events.
