Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Sep. 23, 2015 Mobile: Get to Know Your Library

The Ben May Main Library will be hosting a “Get to Know Your Library” program for Home School families. If you home school, we would like to welcome you to join us September 23rd at 10:00 a.m. If you know someone who home schools, would you help us spread the word?

We hope to use this opportunity to present an overview of our online resources. We’ll show the kids how to find items in the library and how to get optimal use from their library card. There will be an opportunity to participate in a library Scavenger Hunt to help facilitate this learning process. 

We welcome this chance to answer any questions that you all may have. Please help us make this program a success by sharing with your friends.
