Turtles & Tortoises of Alabama
Rick Dowling, our animal curator, will have numerous species in house for guests to touch and hold! He’ll bring them out and talk about where they live, what they eat, how they hunt, etc. Rick Dowling, Thursday, December 17th!
Guests are encouraged to arrive early enjoy a BYODinner, and stroll through the hands-on Discovery Hall before the special activities begin. Events begin at 6pm. The gift shop will be open. There will be a free raffle for guests to win ANC merchandise during every program!

Edible Winter Plants Hike
Saturday, December 19th
Want to learn about edible Winter plants? Well, come enjoy one of our trails with our experienced naturalist - learn about the unique foods you might can eat on your hike. You will also explore the woods, water, wildlife that make Lanark such a beautiful place!
Watch a Movie at 10:00 am, Noon and 2:00 pm Movie Playing: DUCKumentary Run Time (60mins)
Be sure and hang around for an Animal Encounter or Feeding Time at 1:00 pm in the Discovery Hall!
