Everest Academy is a ministry of Everest Family Church in Hayden. We offer freedom along with quality resources, information, activities and support to those homeschooling in Alabama. We believe that the parent has the best interests of their children at heart. We believe that the parent is the first and only teacher that a child needs. In keeping with this philosophy, we wish to be a very hands-off church "cover" school and allow the parent to lead and guide their children in the direction and at the pace they feel is best suited to their children. We ask only for what the law requires while offering support along with quality resources to aid families in their efforts.

Jan. 9 & 16, 2016 Huntsville: Planetarium Shows

Von Braun Astonomical Society

First, for the coming year....  This year's Saturday night Planetarium Schedule for public shows

I am presenting 2 public shows about the Sun, one on January 9th and then the 16th.  Later in the year, 4 shows about Saturn in July.

But this email really has another purpose...

1.  Don't own a telescope?  Low on $$$?
Your first purchase should be a good pair of binoculars!!!

2.  If you own a telescope abd it is growing dust bunnies because you do not know how  to use it or it needs "calibration" or you are need of a part(s) and do not know where to get it....

...bring your telescope and/or questions to our annual show meant especially for you!

"So You Got a Telescope for Christmas"
This Saturday night, January 2nd.
Presented by Frank Schenck.

The show begins at 7:30, but doors open at 7:00.  If you want your choice of seats, come at 7.

Adult admission $5, students $3, under 6 are free.

You do not have to pay at the entrance to the park; simply tell them you are going to the planetarium.

If you are handicapped or have a "too heavy to carry" scope, drive down to the complex and park in the gravel driveway.

No RSVP... Just Show Up!

Why should you let your telescope "grow dust bunnies?"
There is an entire universe full of God's beautiful creation that is waiting for you to look up!

Rain or shine, astronomers will be at the planetarium to help you!

May you know the Blessed Hope and have a New Year that brings you closer to Him!

Remember why He came

Luke 2:30-32
For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
